Résumé

After the success of the 2016 and 2017 International Field Courses focusing on the Pyrenees and Turkey, respectively, we propose to organise the 2018 International Field Course in the Romanian Carpathians, in collaboration with the University of Bucharest. The objective of the International Field Course, geared toward 2nd-year Master students (Master STpE) and now an official part of the Master program, is to confront our students with a different vision on mountain building and orogen development than they can see in France, while also exposing them to internationally recognised experts and foreign students. Moreover, this particular field course will allow building a new collaboration with an emerging eastern European country, profiting from the expertise and the established network that newly recruited maître de conférences Arjan de Leeuw has brought to Grenoble. The project responds to the objectives of the international component of the Labex, in particular activity C5 : “European High-Level Schools”.

Soutien attribué en 2018 : 7 000 €
