[Symposium] "Climat et Impacts"
The 9th edition of the “Climate and Impacts” conference will take place on November 24, 25, and 26, 2026, at the University of Paris-Saclay campus, on the premises of the École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay, both IN-PERSON and REMOTELY.
The 9th edition of the “Climate and Impacts” days bring together scientific communities working on climate change across a range of timescales, its causes, its impacts on ecosystems, and its consequences for past and present human societies. The thematic areas addressed during this conference, without claiming to be exhaustive, include in particular: (i) climate variability recorded in natural climate archives (ice cores, marine and continental sediments, bio-carbonates, tree rings… ) across different timescales (geological to historical), (ii) the response dynamics of marine and continental ecosystems to climatic and anthropogenic forcings, as well as the associated feedbacks; (iii) the predictability of future climates; (iv) relationships between past human societies and their environment; (v) contributions from the social, economic and health sciencesto the study of ongoing climate change (vi) mitigation and adaptation strategies in response to current climate change…
