Mountains and Science Festival

Supported by the OSUG, this event combining science and cinema is organized, in part, by researchers from ISTerre / OSUG and from the IGE / OSUG. The Rencontres Montagnes et Sciences offer a series of screenings and meetings around scientific adventure films in the mountains, as part of the Rencontres du Cinéma de Montagne.

The mountain scientific adventures film festival

The films on offer are stories of scientific adventures, chosen for their visual, scientific and recreational quality. The screenings take place in the presence of the directors and scientists involved.

Two times are proposed to encourage meetings:

  • A program specifically designed for the school public, which gives great importance to interactivity, as well as the possibility of questioning the scientific protagonists of the films.
  • A second program for the general public, with longer films (30 to 52 minutes), always accompanied by a presentation by their protagonists.
