Participation in juries of Colombian Ph.D. theses under joint supervision and international teaching preparation

Résumé

In the context of my collaboration with the Universidad Nacional (UNAL) de Colombia at
Bogotá I am the co-director of the Ph.D. theses of Sergio Amaya and Alejandro Piraquive. Alejandro’s Ph.D. is done cotutelle between Univ. Grenoble and UNAL Bogotá, whereas Sergio’s Ph.D. is done only at Bogotá. Both projects deal with the exhumation history of the crystalline massifs in the Northern Andes of Colombia, using apatite and zircon fission-track thermochronology. Both these Ph.D. projects will be finished this year and defended in Bogotá. Therefore, objective of this proposal is to find the funding for me to travel to Bogota for three weeks in 2016 to participate in the jury of both Ph.D. defences. In addition, during this visit I will give a Basin Analysis short course at UNAL Bogota and finalize the PREFALC Master exchange program between UNAL Bogota and Univ. Grenoble Alpes.
